Abstract

The rotary piston pump, compressor or engine has a housing containing two sealing elements arranged 180 deg. apart and in contact with the rotor. The rotor has a number of radial slots in which sealing strips are radially movable, three strips being provided if the unit is used as engine, and four for a pump or compressor. The strips are radially actiated by rollers engaging a curved cam track and centrifugal weights are provided which are so that they exactly compensate the centrifugal forces acting on the strips. Inlet and outlet ports are so arranged relative to the elements that the strips only move radially in the neutral pressure zones, where they are not exposed to differential pressure.

Einlaßschlitze im Gehäuse bzw.
