Die Schutzhülle ist rinnenförmig gebogen und weist U-förmigen Querschnitt auf. An der einen unteren Ecke ist dicht am Rücken der Rinne, die federnde Schenkel aufweisen kann, ein Gelenk α vorgesehen, das die Zunge b aufnimmt, die sich außer Gebrauch gegen die Rückwand der Schutzhülle legt. Zur Verbindung der Schutzhülle mit einer gewöhnlichen Streichholzschachtel c wird diese Zunge zwischen Einsatz und Gehäuse geschoben. Die Schachtel kann nun, wie die Fig. 3 zeigt, aus der Schutzhülle herausgedreht werden, und der durch die Schutzhülle und die Schachtel gebildete winkelförmige Raum bietet einen Windschutz zum Anzünden von Zigarren u. dgl.The protective cover is bent in the shape of a channel and has a U-shaped cross section.
