Richard Reekar 29 Oldenburg Dipl. Ing. Ing. Alfburgstr.2 Patent application for peat-coated mineral fertilizer with differentiated nutrient and humus effects; The fertilizer industry "endeavors to provide fertilizer users with inexpensive, slow-acting fertilizers so that maximum yields can be achieved with low application costs Covering (coating) with substances such as "plastics, plaster and others. To a certain extent, a semi-permeable outer wall is created on the fertilizer grain, which slows down the transport of nutrients. The nutrients are gradually released, largely as a function of time. The nutrient requirement of the plants cannot be optimally ensured over a longer period of time, as it is not solely time-dependent. Among other things, attempts were also made to load synthetic resin ion exchangers with nutrients. Exchange and exchange processes create states of equilibrium, which always maintain a certain nutrient concentration in the soil solution, but which does not rise above a certain level. For example, According to the following scheme, the fertilizer ions NHt and K + are exchanged for the H + ions that the plant sends in solution. Soil solution H + ^ NH H + χ K + 609853/0423 Synthetic resin Pj.e Not insignificant exchange and exchange powers of the peat are used for soil improvement and. used in substrates. The considerable increase in the exchange capacity of the peat by increasing the pH value, which amounts to 50 mEq / 100 g per pH value unit (see: SchefferSchacht schabel, Textbook of Soil Science, Enke Verlag, Stuttgart, 1970, p.116), on the other hand are hardly used because a strong, significant increase in the pH value with the high peat additions used, in the case of substrates up to pure peat, leads to plant damage. The production of slow-acting peat fertilizers, e.g. by adding urea, is known from work from Torfforschung GmbH, Bad Zwischenahn (nitrogen depot fertilizer preparations based on black peat urea. W.Naucke, Torfnachrichten 19, set special edition for no.3 / 4, 1968). The production of peat fertilizer granules is possible j individual processes are protected. These are granules that consist entirely of peat to which ground fertilizers have been mixed. f \ J1 ^. However, by using all of these methods, it is possible to produce inexpensive, slow-acting fertilizers that meet crop requirements and price requirements. This prior art gave rise to the task of finding a fertilizer with reduced release of active ingredients, which provides the nutrients in differentiated form, according to the requirements of the plant, and which is so cheap to produce that it can be used widely. It It has been found that such a fertilizer can be produced if the grains of a cheap, fast-acting mineral fertilizer with diameters of 0.5 to 3 mm are used as condensation points, which are then surrounded, in a per se known process, with a cheap peat cover, so that granules with a diameter of 2 to 5 mm, which are made up of a fertilizer core with a peat cover. and is favorable in terms of application when spreading in the fertilizer spreader. Such a mineral fertilizer grain with a peat cover offers the possibility of producing high-percentage peat kineral fertilizers that take up little space in terms of volume, which is not possible with Vo11 peat granules because of the low volume weight of peat. In addition, the drying costs are significantly lower than with Vo11 peat granulate, since less water has to be evaporated and the transport path of the water to the outside is shorter. The thickness of the peat shell can be small and still have a considerable mass, because the volumes change with the third power of the radius. So with a granulate thickness of 4mm diameter and an enclosed Kineraldtfgerkorn 3.2mm diameter only a thickness of the peat coat of 0.4mm. The volume of the peat and the mineral fertilizer grain, however, are approximately the same. The considerable exchange capacity of the peat should be used to a large extent. At a pH value of 200 mval per 100 g of dry peat substance are to be expected; corresponding to 1.7g nitrogen (N) and 2.2g potash (KgO) which can be exchanged in order to be available to the plants as slow-flowing nutrient sources in exchange Nutrients are dissolved and absorbed by the peat as far as possible. The excess part of the nutrients goes into the soil solution and is immediately available to the plants. Another braking effect is provided by the addition of plastic emulsions, bitumen emulsions, water glass slurries in quantities of 2 to 20g / 100g dry peat substance or similar sticky substances that hinder the transport of the dissolved salts the partial use of long-term fertilize for the peat cover. Sorption forces of the peat are not stressed by these fertilizers, so that the process described above takes place unhindered. The slow-acting fertilizer component is only available when the main mass of the fast-acting nutrients in the kinetic fertilizer core have been used up. The nutrients released from the slowly acting part also run through the same chain of effects: release - ^ sorption in peat - ^ leakage into the soil solution - ^ plant availability. The slow-acting nutrients can be added to the peat in the form of ready-made fertilizers, such as nitrogen as a urea-formaldehyde compound, but also in the form of individual components. A further differentiation of the nutrient effect is possible if the mineral fertilizer grain coated with peat also contains a part of slow-acting nutrients that are only released when the peat cover disintegrates, thus leading to a significant extension of the effective time. The effect matrix of the system shows the many possible combinations through the use of fast and slow-acting fertilizers, which means that suitable long-term fertilizers can be produced for practically every purpose. Not shown individually are the influences of the thickness of the peat coating a ± and of the mineral fertilizer grain, which contribute to the further diverse differentiation possibilities of a peat-coated mineral fertilizer. The peat effect begins with the entry of humus compounds into the soil solution, which immediately produce the known beneficial properties, whereby it can be assumed that the plant roots actively seek these substances and thus they quickly come into effect. In particular, the good solution possibilities for phosphorus in the vicinity of the humus layer are also favorable, so that it is protected from being stuck in the ground. In this way, low-phosphorus complete fertilizers can be used, which makes such a fertilizer even cheaper. 609853/0423 At Ends Z3r, the peat cover falls into the ground and also releases the peat mass itself. This starts the physical peat effect. Since peat does not cause residue problems, on the contrary, with its sorption forces it also fixes pollutants in the soil, such a fertilizer is to be assessed particularly positively from the point of view of environmental protection. The production method of peat-coated complete fertilizers is further explained using two examples:
