Description
During the granulation of blast furnace slag, slag sand is produced which is used for building purposes and the like finds. When granulating, the liquid slag is quenched in a jet of water in such a way that that fine-grained slag sand is formed. Depending on the intended use, the quality of the sand will be affected different requirements. The decisive factor for a good quality of the sand is a fast one and intense heat exchange between slag and water caused by the temperature gradient between the both media and the weight ratio of the same is determined. It has been found that weight ratios from slag to water between: 6 and 1:10 a slag sand of good quality provide. So far it has not been possible to measure the slag flow flowing off from the blast furnace in order to be able to use it accordingly the desired weight ratios, the amount of water corresponding to the respective amount of slag to be regulated per unit of time. So far, the amount of water from the operating personnel is the occurring Slag jet adjusted manually. This regulation of the amount of water by sight harbors great sources of error in itself. Usually too much water is added, so that the silos for dewatering the slag are filled too quickly. If too little water is supplied, clumps of slag form, which cause difficulties when dewatering and the quality u.ese nu.ga ^ is essentially controlled by an automatic Control method solved, which is characterized by the fact that the control of the amount of water is indirect by measuring the temperature of the slag sand-water mixture he follows.
According to a further feature of the invention, the mixing temperature becomes immediately after the granulation process measured before the dewatering of the slag sand-water mixture.
^e Erfindung betrifft weiterhin eine automatische Regelvorrichtung zur Regulierung des Mischungsverhältnisses von Schlacke zu Wasser, die einen Regler mit einer Temperaturmeßeinrichlung aufweist, die über ein-n Temperaturfühler an einen Pumpenvorlagebehalter'der Pumpen zur Förderung des Schlackensand-Wassergemisches in eine Entwässerungsvorrichtung angeschlossen ist, wobei der Regler ein Stellglied betätigt das in der Wasserzuleitung der Spritzvorrichtung zur Granulation der Schlacke angeordnet ist.^ e invention also relates to an automatic Control device for regulating the mixing ratio of slag to water, which has a regulator a Temperaturmeßeinrichlung that over a-n temperature sensor to a pump reservoir Pumps for conveying the slag sand-water mixture into a dewatering device is connected, the controller actuates an actuator in the water supply line of the spray device is arranged for granulation of the slag.
An expedient further development of the invention is that the controller has an amplifier for amplification which has input signals transmitted by the temperature sensor.
Furthermore, the invention provides that the actuator comprises a control valve which is actuated by a servomotor will.
Die exakte Einhaltung des Mischungsverhältnisses von Schlacke zu Wasser ermöglicht nunmehr eine genaue Auslegung der Anlage, so daß bisher aus Sicherheitsgründen vorgesehene Entwässerungssilos entfallen können und somit eine Verbilligung der Anlage erzieltThe automatic control device working according to the control method according to the invention enables! a precise regulation of the required mixing ratio of slag to water in the area between 1: 6 and 1: 10. This creates a slag sand with very good quality and the The granulation plant experiences an optimal utilization. The exact adherence to the mixing ratio of Slag to water now enables a precise design of the system, so that so far for safety reasons provided dewatering silos can be omitted and thus a cheaper system is achieved

Between the slag channel 3 and the spray pot 4 is located a free space in which the liquid slag 1 is quenched by water jets 7 emerging from spray nozzles 6 is and granulated to fine slag sand. The water vapor generated in the pump reservoir 5 escapes through a chimney 8 to the outside. The slag sand-water mixture is extracted from the pump storage tank 5 conveyed by pumps 9 via a pipeline 10 into a distribution silo 11 and arrives from there via distribution pipes 12 into drainage silos 13. The water flows through the drainage silos
