Die Holzspaltvorrichtung besteht aus einem starken gufseisernen Wandbock, welcher mit einigen Schrauben an einer Wand befestigt werden mufs; in der cylindrischen Hülse A befindet sich der Spaltstofs E, der aus gehärtetem Stahl gefertigt ist; derselbe wird durch eine ihn umliegende Spiralfeder stets gehoben, wie aus der Zeichnung Fig. 3 ersichtlich ist.
