Diese letztere Anordnung ist insbesondere bei kurzen Röhren A sehr vortheilhaft, weil bei deren geringer Ausdehnung und Zusammenziehung und demzufolge geringem Hub des Ventils infolge des dadurch erzielten gröfseren Durchmessers genügend freier Durchgangs-Querschnitt erzielt wird. Das Ventil C wird durch die Justirschraube D festgestellt, welche bei der Construction in Fig. 5 und 6 im Steg B2, bei der Construction Fig. 1 bis 4 im Ventilgehäuse F sitzt. Gegen seitliche Verschiebung wird das Rohr A durch den Steg B1 bezw. die Stopfbüchse G des Ventilgehäuses F geschützt; es kann sich also bei seinen Ausdehnungen und Zusammenziehungen nur nach der Längsrichtung in denselben verschieben.
