Der Gegenstand des Hauptpatentes 246946 bezweckt die Kupplung der beiden Fenster von Doppelfenstern in der Weise, daß mittels Drehung des Vorreibers für das innere Fenster mit diesem zunächst das äußere Fenster gekuppelt und dann beide durch den Vorreißer gemeinsam verschlossen werden. Es ist bei diesem Verschluß möglich, beide Fenster nach der Öffnung beliebig zu entkuppeln. Diese Möglichkeit ist aber namentlich dann ein Nachteil, wenn derartige Fenster z. B. für Schulen verwendet werden, da die Kinder dann mit der Kupplung der Fenster häufig spielen und die Fenster auch in offener Lage entkuppeln. Das im Winkelblech g vorgesehene Langloch g' für den Eintritt des Vorreibers e' behufs Kupplung des äußeren Fensters f mit dem inneren ist wagerecht, und zwar seiner punktiert dargestellten Schließlage entgegengesetzt gerichtet, so daß der Vorreiber in aufrechter Lage infolge der ihn zurückhaltenden Falle i nicht mehr aus dem Eingriff mit dem Winkelblech g des äußeren Fensters f gelöst werden kann.
