Auf dieses Gewinde greift das Muttergewinde des Gehäuses eines Rückschlagventils b, dessen Ventilklappe c durch eine Feder d angedrückt wird. Je nachdem man Teil b mehr oder weniger weit auf das Rohrstück α schraubt, wird die Feder d mehr oder minder gespannt und ein entsprechender Druck auf die Rückschlagklappe c ausgeübt. Über das Ventilgehäuse b ist das Lippenventil e, das aus Gummi besteht, gestreift. Dieses gestattet der durch α über das Ventil c entweichenden Luft den Austritt in das Wasser, verhindert aber, daß dieses in das Ventilgehäuse b selbst tritt und unter der Ventilklappe c hindurch in den Apparat gelangt.
