Eine fertig verpackte Schachtel zeigt die Fig. 3, bei welcher nur der Teil a² des Aufreißfadens α aus der Packung heraussieht, während der auf der Vorderseite der Packung liegende Teil a³ zweckmäßig durch eine aufgeklebte Schutzmarke m festgehalten wird. Diese Befestigung, die zur Erleichterung der Packarbeit dient, kann auch fehlen oder auf irgendeine andere Weise erreicht werden, z. B. durch eine kleine, aus der Vorderseite der Packung ausgestanzte, hervorstehende Zunge. Wird der Aufreißfaden nun in Richtung des Pfeiles h aufwärts gezogen, entsprechend einem auf der Packung anzubringenden Hinweise, so reißt der Faden die äußere Umhüllung zwischen dem Schlitz d und den vorderen oberen Eckpunkten i auf, so daß das Bild nach Fig. 4 entsteht.
