Gegenstand der Erfindung ist eine Vorrichtung zum Auffangen des Radierstaubes für Schreibmaschinen. Gemäß der Erfindung ist diese neue Vorrichtung als Behälter ausgebildet, der aus Blech, Holz, Papiermache, Zelluloid oder anderem Material bestehen kann, und so eingerichtet ist, daß er schnell in den über den Typenhebeln befindlichen Hohlraum der Schreibmaschine eingeführt werden kann. AIsdann nimmt die Vorrichtung eine derartige Stellung ein, daß beim Radieren die sich lösenden Teile des Radiergummis und des Papiers in den Behälter hineinfallen und auf diese Weise die Drehgelenke des Typenhebelwerkes und das Farbband oder sonst irgendwelche Antriebverbindungen nicht beschmutzt werden. Gleichzeitig dient die Vorrichtung als Auflager für die Hand beim Radieren. Vorteilhaft wird der Behälter mit einem elastischen Rand versehen, so daß er auf polierten Holztischen keine Beschädigung hervorruft.The invention relates to a device for collecting the eraser dust for Typewriters. Bei den neueren Typenhebelschreibmaschinen legt man besonderen Wert auf sichtbare Schrift. Bei solchen Schreibmaschinen sind die Typenhebel b, wie Fig. 4 zeigt, in einem in senkrechter Ebene vor der Papierwalze d liegenden Kreisbogen gelagert und nehmen eine wagerechte Stellung ein. Beim Anschlagen eines Tastenhebels c wird der zugehörige Typenhebel b mit seinem die Typen α tragenden Ende nach oben gegen die Papierwalze d geschleudert. Die Typenhebel b bilden bei diesen Schreibmaschinen annähernd die Mantelfläche eines Zylindersegments. Die Drehzapfen e der Typenhebel b sind unmittelbar unterhalb der Papierwalze d angeordnet, so daß beim Radieren auf dem Papier f die Gummikrümel von dem Papier auf die Drehzapfen e fallen. Um alle diese Abfälle aufzufangen, wird gemäß der Erfindung in den über den Typenhebeln befindlichen Hohlraum ein Behälter eingeschoben, welcher in den Fig. 1 bis 5 dargestellt ist. Dieser Behälter g, welcher dem von den Typenhebeln b gebildeten Hohlraum angepaßt ist, besitzt auf der vorderen Seite eine segmentförmige Endplatte h. Diese ist entweder angelötet oder angenietet oder in anderer Weise mit dem gekrümmten Teile des Behälters g verbunden.
