Dieser Krankenstuhl dient dazu, Personen, die an Gicht, Rheumatismus etc. leiden, Linderung dadurch zu verschaffen, dafs der Körper während des Sitzens so warm als möglich gehalten wird. Zu diesem Zweck erhält der Sitz des Stuhles eine oder mehrere Oeffnungen, und der von den -vier Füfsen des Stuhles begrenzte Raum wird mit dicken wollenen Decken abgeschlossen; in diesem Raum wird alsdann ein Wärmapparat untergebracht. Auf beiliegender Zeichnung ist dieser neue Krankenstuhl im Querschnitt und eine Vorrichtung zur Verstellung des Wärmapparates dargestellt.This hospital chair is used to provide relief to people suffering from gout, rheumatism, etc. by keeping the body as warm as possible while sitting will. Der event, gepolsterte Sitz A des Krankenstuhles ist mit einer grofsen Oeffnung B versehen und der durch vier Füfse a des Stuhles begrenzte Raum C durch dicke wollene Decken ringsum nach aufsen abgeschlossen, während die eiserne Platte B¹ zur Aufnahme des Wärmapparates und der Vorrichtung zum Verstellen des letzteren für den Raum C nach unten hin den Abschlufs bildet. Zu beiden Seiten des Stuhles sind innerhalb des Raumes C die Führungsstäbe c angeordnet, in welchen sich der Wärmapparat D vermittelst der Führungszapfen d beliebig hoch und tief einstellen läfst. Das Feststellen des Wärmapparat in seiner jeweiligen Lage wird durch eine oder mehrere Sperrklinken / bewirkt, welche an den Schienen c drehbar befestigt sind und durch die Feder g stets gegen eine an der Seite des Wärmapparates angebrachte, mit Sperrzähnen versehene Schiene e geprefst wird. Durch Lösen dieser Sperrklinke/, bewirkt durch Anziehen der Schnur h von der Seitenlehne des Stuhles aus, wird ein Niedergehen des Wärmapparates veranlafst. Das Emporheben des letzteren geschieht nun dadurch, dafs die Person auf das Trittbrett E tritt, wodurch dasselbe niedergedrückt und durch den Hebel k und Verbindungsschiene i der Apparat emporgehoben, alsdann von der Sperrklinke f in der gewünschten Lage erhalten wird. Das Trittbrett E ist mit dem Hebel k drehbar befestigt, jedoch mit demselben durch das Sperrrad / in Verbindung mit der durch Feder η angeprefsten Sperrklinke in in der einen Bewegungsrichtung gekuppelt, so dafs beim Nichtgebrauch des Stuhles das Trittbrett E zurückgeschlagen werden und so, nachdem die Oeffnung B mit einem passenden Kissen verschlossen worden ist, der Stuhl als Sessel benutzt werden kann. Der Wärmapparat selbst besteht in einem Kasten D aus Eisenblech, der mit derThürZ*¹ versehen ist, in welchem auf den Schienen r und ί ein oder mehrere in Gehäusen p befindliche, heifs gemachte Bolzen q ruhen. Die von diesen Bolzen stark erwärmte Luft streicht durch die oben im Kasten D befindlichen Oeffnungen ο in den Raum C und von hier aus durch die Oeffnung B zum Körper der Person und erwärmt so dieselbe. Die Vorrichtung zum Heben des Wärmapparates kann noch beliebig modificirt werden; so kann z.
