Abstract

Air conditioner comprises two fans (2, 2') acting as heat exchangers of which one (2') conveys fresh air and the other (2) stale air, with closed pipe circuits (18, 19, 20, 21; 18', 19', 20', 21') circulating a heat carrier medium while the air flows over them. Circulation through the pipe circuit takes place in sequence, heat from the warmer current of state air being passed to the colder current of fresh air. Heat exchange occurs in countercurrent, the outermost pipe assembly of one heat exchanger being connected to the inner most pipe assembly of the other. The fans have annular lamellae (16, 16') extending in rotational planes and penetrated by the parallel-axis pipe assemblies.
