Description

The invention relates to a disk damage alarm with one on the soiled Schcibenfläthe light source emitting light through the pane and one on the smudged one Disc surface answered back through the disc Light registering light meter and signal transmitter connected to it.
So far, no device of the type mentioned has been used in daylight. In the German patent application P 21 01 319.4 is proposed, for example, the light a before Disc located light source through this / iiMMiden and the weakening of light caused by the pollution of the eyes by a behind the To register disc arranged light meter. However, this proposal has in addition to the structural Disadvantage that the light source and light meter have to be arranged in two separate locations on both sides of the pane are, the fundamental disadvantage that it does not adequately address the problem of changing external light intensity considered. The latter leads to the fact that to compensate for the changing external light levels at daytime and Night light the supplementary proposal is made to set up a second light meter next to the first, around the disturbance of the ambient brightness by forming the difference between the two measured values of the light meters to eliminate. The mentioned structural disadvantage of the separate arrangement of the light source and the light meter results in a large distance between the two and complicates precise optical focusing. Furthermore, with this spatial arrangement, the light measuring beam penetrates the area where it is soiled measuring disk only punctiform and does not record the rest of the condition of the disk. For these reasons the mentioned proposal is unlikely to be implemented in the future either.
Another example in the German patent application P 21 37 231.6 described comparable The device bypasses the foreign linguistic testimony. d;: ß it only at night, so without the disturbing influence of daylight. is usable. In addition, in this device, as the light source, the strong light source becomes one Headlights used, so that this offers a possibility that on the dirt particles To measure reflected light directly, especially since the lack of daylight is suitable Zero point value gives the definition of a limit value allowed. But already the disturbance from the headlights of an oncoming vehicle requires compensation by installing downstream time delay elements in a Rclais circuit. This device can be used in daylight and any panes, for example with front panes by motor vehicles, since the latter does not have a strong headlight at all are irradiated and such a device if it is switched on continuously throughout the day Energy waste exceeding the capacity of a car battery.
The invention has for its object to be a very simply constructed, spatially small, energy-saving and trouble-free working window pollution alarms of the type mentioned to propose in which in particular the disturbance factor of a changing Extraneous light is switched off.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that only those of the light source emitted and reflected back on the soiled pane surface by the light meter are detected and measured, which of the soiled pane surface at the angle of Total reflection go off, whereby they od when leaving the disc by a prismatic device. be passed through.
Eine besonders große Lichtstärke des zurückgeworfenen Lichtanteils ergibt sich bei einer vorteilhaften Ausführungsform der Erfindung dadurch, daß das von der Lichtquelle ausgesandte Licht beim Eintreten in die Scheibe durch prismatische Vorrichtungen hindurchgeleitet wird, die das Licht an der beschmutzten Scheibenfläche im Winkel der Totalreflexion auftreffenA particularly high light intensity of the reflected light component results from an advantageous one Embodiment of the invention in that the light emitted by the light source when entering the Disc is passed through prismatic devices that pollute the light on the Strike the pane surface at the angle of total reflection
lassen.permit.
External light compensation does not have to be carried out and the device according to the invention does not have to be carried out can therefore also be used in daylight and changing outside light conditions. Located on s but if there is a transparent or opaque dirt material on the surface of the pane, this will affect the total reflection and the light meter can register corresponding changes in the light intensity and with the Compare the zero point measured value with undisturbed total reflection. If a set value is exceeded Limit value, this can then be forwarded to a downstream signal transmitter.
Advantageously iiaben to avoid refraction and Reflection and thus to increase the light intensity the transparent parts of the device and the clear adhesives for attaching the device to the disc have the same index of refraction as the disc.
The prismatic devices for single and / or emerging light beam can be composed of many small prisms. so that a multiple design is achievable.
To enlarge the light beam exposed The light emitted by the light source at the measuring surface on the soiled pane surface can second embodiment of the invention several times the soiled pane surface are totally reflected. This advantageous embodiment also allows separate arrangement of the light source and the light beneficiary at both ends of the illuminated disc measuring surface enlarged by the Mchrfaeh-TotalRelle-11 ion. so that the device can be divided into two even smaller components. which can also be done afterwards without impairment of the free field of view can be glued to the inside of the pane. A visual) adjustment of the Device for subsequent installation in a motor vehicle is not necessary because the entire beam path is in the device itself is already set.
In the following, both embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail with reference to the drawing.
Es zeigen:Show it:
F i g. 1 die Ausführungsform, bei welcher durch das Lichtmeßgerät lediglich diejenigen zurückgeworfenen Lichtanteile erfaßt und gemessen werden, welche die beschmutzte Scheibenfläche unter dem Winkel der Totalreflexion verlassen undF i g. 1 the embodiment in which only those reflected by the light meter Light components are detected and measured, which the soiled pane surface under the angle of Leave total reflection and
F i g. 2 die Ausführungsform, bei welcher das Licht an der beschmutzten Scheibenfläche im Winkel der Totalreflexion auftrifft.F i g. 2 the embodiment in which the light is on the soiled pane surface hits at the angle of total reflection.
In the case of the FIG. 1, the light from the light source 1 is transmitted via an optical system 8 directed onto the surface 2 at a small angle of incidence. That at the angle of total reflection The light reflected from the soiled pane surface 4 is reflected by the prism 11 and the mirror 12 the light meter 7 is focused with the diaphragm 6.
In the case of the in FIG. The embodiment shown in FIG. 2 is the light originating from the light source 1 by a Focusing optical system 8 (for greater light yield) a prism 9 and a mirror 10 fed and directed onto the surface 2 of the transparent disk 21. The totally reflected light occurs through a prism plate 11 from the disk and is through an optical system 12 on the light meter 7 focused with aperture 6. The use of Pris.Tien 9 and 11 is necessary because the light fall at an angle of total internal reflection on the surface 2 of the disc and under the same Angle should be reflected, which is not achieved with normal irradiation of a plane-parallel pane can be.
So wirkt z. The prisms 9 and 11 shown in the drawings represent only exemplary configurations of a Prism. So acts z. B. the embedding of a point, spherical or surface-mounted light source 1 or light meter 7 prismatic. So it just depends on the fact that light from the light source 1 at the angle of Total reflection on the surface 2 of the disk 21 or from there at the angle of total reflection into the Light meter 7 can get.
The light meter 7 measures a certain measured value with undisturbed total reflection, which represents a good zero point value. If the intensity of the totally reflected light changes due to water droplets 5 or solid dirt particles 4 , the light meter 7 can determine corresponding new measured values and forward them to a signal transmitter, not shown in the drawing, which is set to a fixed Cirenzwen. If this limit value is exceeded, a signal can be given which switches on any device used for window cleaning. It is essential here that such a measurement of a totally reflected light beam and its inicnsi ity changes take place completely unaffected by daylight fluctuations and also requires a very small light source 1.
To avoid refraction and reflection, the transparent parts of the device and the Bondings 15 between the parts have an identical or similar refractive index.
To enlarge the light beam exposure! The prisms 9 and II become three-dimensional on the soiled pane surface with the optics remaining the same .luseindrawn. In the pane there can then be multiple total reflection on the pane surface used take place, so that this increases the applied measuring surface on the disc. The likelihood that someone who has suffered multiple injuries Ray hits a drop of water or a Schnnuzpariikcl and its intensity is disturbed is increased significantly.
In the drawing, the objects are approximately in shown at four times magnification. The one that encloses the necessary electrical and optical parts Housing is therefore relatively small in natural size. With enlargement of the light beam exposure The device can be used for measuring surface on the disk and using multiple total reflection split up and downsize even further, as in one Housing the light source 1 and the light meter 7 are to be accommodated in a further housing. These two components then have such a small size that they do not have the slightest visual obstruction cause.
The described window scrap detector thus comprises only a few, small and hardly susceptible to failure Components, always work precisely and unconditionally changing ambient light and can be made using transparent adhesive with corresponding opti see properties can be easily glued to panes at a later date.
