Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Grundmaterials
für Brillengestelle. The invention relates to a method for producing a base material
for glasses frames.
The object of the invention is to produce a base material for
Spectacle frames in which a solid corrosion-resistant surface metal completely
and is firmly connected to a parent metal, which is because of its soft nature
easy to process.
Another object of this invention is to make a base material
for spectacle frames in which the surface metal does not differ from the parent metal
flakes off.
Furthermore, the invention is intended to provide a base material for spectacle frames

durchgeführt wird. In addition, a heterogeneous surface metal is intended with the aid of the invention
can be obtained by a coating process of the raw material for eyeglass frames
is carried out.
hergestellt. Usually, a base material for eyeglass frames is made by hot pressure welding
a tube of silver, gold, an alloy of these, or the like with a
rod-shaped starting metal inserted into the tube, which has a diameter of
30 to 50 mm, and rolling into elongated material to the required diameter
manufactured.
Another known method involves coating a
Starting metal with a surface metal.
The aim of the invention is now that of the conventionally known
Method to eliminate the disadvantages and a good basic material for spectacle frames
to obtain. This goal is achieved according to the invention by a method that
is characterized in that a thick layer of nickel on a surface of
Copper or a copper alloy is applied that a hammering process after a
Heat diffusion treatment takes place at a temperature of 500 to 1200 "C, the
a stretching process is connected after a heat diffusion treatment and the
then a rolling process follows after a heat diffusion treatment, each of the
steps described above can be repeated as required.
The invention is described below using an exemplary embodiment
explained.
In the first stage, a copper alloy is used in a Watt bath
Base metal electroplated with a 60 .mu.m thick layer of nickel, and a
Plating process made with nickel as the surface metal.
The Watt bath is made up as follows: Nickel sulphate
... .240 gel nickel chloride ... 45 gil boric acid. . 30 g / l in the second stage
is a heat treatment of the treated object in an electric furnace
carried out at 800 ° C. for 20 minutes (diffusion heat treatment). To get one through
To prevent decomposition caused by metallic oxidation, this treatment is used in
carried out in a hydrogen gas atmosphere. This treatment causes a hike
of the corresponding molecules against each contact surface between the parent metal
and the surface metal. As a result, heat diffusion layers are formed on these contact surfaces.
In the third stage, every metal of the treated object is through
a hammering process compacted, taking pores that occurred during the coating process
are to be eliminated. In this hammering process, the object is hammered with a hammering machine
pressed to a diameter of 2.8 mm.
In the fourth stage, the contact surfaces of the treated object
bonded even more tightly to one another through the same heat diffusion treatment
as in the second stage.
In the fifth stage, the treated object is stretched
stretched with the help of a nozzle to a wire with a diameter of 2 mm.
In the sixth stage, the treated object is the same heat diffusion process
subject as in the second stage.
In the seventh level, the treated object is a rolling process
subject to him a suitable for glasses, different from a wire material,
To give shape.
Experiments have confirmed that such by the migration of the molecules
Conditional results can be achieved when using the heat diffusion treatment
of nickel and a nickel alloy in a temperature range of 500 to 1200 "C
carried out, the latter temperature being the melting temperature of the object.
Heat diffusion treatment can have the same effect in a vacuum
and inactive gases also for pure copper as the starting metal and nickel as the surface metal
can be achieved.
During the treatment can be the hammering process, the heat diffusion treatment
and the stretching process (step 5) are repeated until a base material of the desired
Diameter is achieved.
