Vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf Schlösser, deren Schlüssel beim Schließen an Vorsprüngen der Nuß angreift. Das Neue besteht darin, daß der Schlüssel gekrümmt ist und sich nach der Einführung auf eine der Schlüsselkrümmung entsprechend gekrümmte Fläche der Nuß legt. Infolge des neuen Schlüssels nebst der hohlen Nuß braucht das Schloß nur halb so tief (etwa 4V₂ cm) zu sein, ohne bezüglich der Sicherheit und bequemen Handhabung den bisherigen tiefen Schlössern nachzustehen, bei welch letzteren die Tiefe durch die Schlüsselform und Schloßkonstruktion bedingt ist. Gerade diese Tiefe der bisherigen Schlösser beansprucht eine fast vollständige Durchbrechung bzw. Durchbohrung des Türenrahmenholzes auf den größten Teil seiner Breite, wodurch dasselbe vielfach seinen Halt und seine Festigkeit verliert, was wiederum das Krummziehen des Holzes verursacht. Für die seitliche Einführung des gebogenen Schlüssels ist im Türenschild ein Kurvenschlitz vorgesehen, welcher die bequeme Handhabung des Schließens ermöglicht.
