Sind beide Nachbarplätze, im vorliegenden Falle also P₂ und P₄, frei, so soll immer nur der auf einer Seite, z. B. links, gelegene (es ist angenommen, daß P₄ links, P₂ rechts von P₃ liegt) ein Signal erhalten. An jedem Arbeitsplatze, z. B. P₃, sind für diese Signalisierung neben der Platzkontrollampe Ci₃ noch zwei Kontrollampen Lr₂ und Ll₄ angebracht, die auffordern, einen auf dem rechten bzw. auf dem linken Nachbarplatze P₂ oder P₄ vorliegenden Anruf zu erledigen. Im Falle, des Beispiels wird durch das Ansprechen des Relais CR₃ für die Zeit, während der ein unerledigter Anruf am Platze P₃ vorliegt, die Lampe Lr₂ des Platzes abgeschaltet, so daß also jetzt der Platz P₃ von dem rechts gelegenen Platze P₂ aus nicht mehr beansprucht werden kann. Nach P₄ würde inzwischen nur dann ein Anruf gelangen können, wenn dieser Platz selber oder sein linker Nachbarplatz P₅ frei ist, denn sonst würde die Prüfleitung p₄ besetzt erscheinen. Eine Inanspruchnahme des Platzes P₃ von P₄ aus kommt also nicht in Frage. Würde nun ein zweiter Anruf an den Platz P₃ gelegt, so wird durch die Vorschaltung der zweiten Anruflampe AL der Strom in der Wicklung e des Differentialrelais DR derart verstärkt, daß dieses seinen Anker h anzieht. Dadurch wird ein Stromkreis über die Lampe Lr₃ und das iao Platzrelais BR₄ am Platze P₄ geschlossen.
