Zur besseren Haftung des Emails werden dabei dem Nickelbad mit einem pH-Wert von 7,5 Nitrationen in einer Menge von 0,0062 bis 6,2 g/l in Form von Natriumnitrat zugesetzt. Unter technischen Bedingungen ist nach dem bekannten Verfahren jedoch eine konstante Nickelabscheidung nicht zu erreichen, da das Nickel auf dem Blech sofort als Hydroxid ausgefällt wird. Darüber hinaus wird die Nickelschicht nach dem bekannten Verfahren in einer Zeit von 2.5 bis 15 min bei einer Stromdichte von 0,05 bis 0,2 A/dm2 abgeschieden, um eine homogene Schicht mit einem hohen Nickelgehalt von etwa 15 mg/dm2 zur Erzielung der guten Haftbarkeit zu erreichen.
