Fig. ι stellt den verstellbaren Schnitt im Grundrifs mit nach oben gerichteten Messern und diese letzteren dicht an der Befestigungsfläche im Querschnitt dar. Auf den vier stählernen Schienen ABCD ist je ein Messer I, II bezw. nur Eckmesser III, IV mitttelst Schrauben befestigt. Jede der Schienen ABCD hat von ihrer Mitte abcd aus. in gleichen Abständen und symmetrisch Durchbohrungen 1, 2, 3, 4 etc., die behufs Aufnahme der vier Schrauben E mit Gewinde versehen sind.Fig. Ι shows the adjustable section in the Grundrifs with upwardly directed knives and the latter close to the mounting surface in cross section. Breite und Höhe des Briefumschlages ausgezogen oder ineinander- bezw. zusammengeschoben und dann mittelst der vier Klemmschrauben E festgestellt. Verwendet man das dem Briefumschlag entsprechende Papierband, so ist nur erforderlich, die Flächen S des Papierhalters an die Papierkanten zu schieben und die Schrauben E festzuziehen.
