Es ist bereits eine Verbindung von Steckkontakt mit Schalter bekannt, bei welcher der Schalter ein von der Art des Bedienens unabhängiger Momentschalter ist. Indessen konnten bei den bisher verwendeten Vorrichtungen Stöpsel und Dose gegen die Wirkung der Feder festgehalten werden, so daß die Schaltmesser oder Blätter verhindert werden, schnell von den Kontakten abzuspringen.
Die Erfindung besteht darin, den äußeren zylindrischen Teil des Stöpsels mit einem lose darauf passenden Ring oder Zylinder zu umgeben, welchen die den Schalter gebrauchende Person anfaßt. Dieser Ring ist an dem Stöpselgriff so angebracht, daß sich dieser und infolgedessen auch die Dose beim Ausschalten genügend drehen können, um die Schaltmesser allein unter · dem Einfluß einer Feder außer Verbindung mit den Kontakten messern zu bringen. Hierdurch ist ein plötzliches und schnelles Unterbrechen des Stromkreises gewährleistet, ohne daß der den Schalter bedienende Mann darauf Einfluß hat, wie es allgemein bei den sogenannten Momentschaltern üblich ist.A connection between plug contact and switch is already known, in which the switch is a momentary switch that is independent of the type of operation.
