Bei dem in dem Hauptpatent 208447 beschriebenen Bettsofa muß zur Umwandlung des Sofas in ein Bett jeder Teil des Sofas einzeln umgeklappt oder nach vorn gedreht werden. Um nun beim Umwandeln des Sofas in ein Bett jeden Zeitverlust zu vermeiden, wird nach der Erfindung die Rückenlehne des Sofas um eine Achse schwingbar angeordnet und der obere Sitzteil des Sofas mit dieser Rückenlehne gelenkig verbunden. Gleichzeitig werden die Scharniere, welche die beiden Teile jeder Armlehne verbinden, mit Federn versehen, so daß beim Schwingen der Rückenlehne nach vorn gleichzeitig der bewegliche Sitzteil umgeklappt wird und die beweglichen Teile der Armlehnen in die Ebene der festen Teile der letzteren gebracht werden.
