Description
KAISERLICHESIMPERIAL
PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.
Dadurch wird jedoch dasThose previously used to keep the so-called ■ closing current out of the X-ray tube Devices such as pre-connected spark gaps and valve tubes show when operating Disadvantages, the cause of which is to be sought in the circumstances that the named Apparatus connected in series with the X-ray tube between cathode and negative inductor pole will. However, this does this
ίο Potential an der Kathode und somit die Röhrenhärte usw. beeinflußt; ferner ist das Funktionieren der Röhre von dem jeweiligen Zustande des Vorschaltapparates abhängig, was besonders bei Ventilröhren zu Unzuträglichkeiten führt, da dieselben während des Gebrauches ihr Vakuum verändern.ίο influences the potential at the cathode and thus the tube hardness, etc.; further is that The functioning of the tube depends on the current state of the ballast, which leads to inconveniences, especially with valve tubes, since the same during the Use their vacuum to change.
The invention described below now relates to an apparatus which, without influencing the quality and quantity of the X-ray radiation, keeps the current in the wrong direction away from the X-ray tube. The apparatus, the construction of which can be seen in the figure, is connected between the positive inductor pole and the tube anode. The metal plate b is located in a housing a made of a suitable material and is connected to the positive inductor pole by means of a connection contact c. When the inductor is operated, a positive and negative potential is alternately generated on the plate b. This seeks to produce the opposite potential in terms of the sign on the metal plate d. The plate d is connected to earth with the interposition of a valve device e (spark gap, valve tube or the like) in such a way that a current transfer can only take place in one sense, which is a positive one on the metal plate f connected to the tube anode Potential. In this way, the creation of a negative potential (closing current) at the anode or anticathode of the X-ray tube is prevented. Instead of three plates, a larger number can be used, if one takes care only by means of suitable earth conductors of some of them that a negative potential can always occur on the penultimate plate (calculated from the inductor) and a correspondingly positive potential on the last plate. Furthermore, in order to be able to achieve an optimum of the effect with each instrument, any device of any configuration can be attached to the apparatus, which allows the mutual spacing of the individual plates to be changed.
