The present invention relates to a galvanic dry element of the type in which weU rather the preferably one with longitudinal corrugation increased surface area presenting carbon electrode tightly packed by a porous, stiff depolarization mass is applied. • The purpose of this mass is to create ways for ventilation along the carbon electrode and to create degassing in such a way that it promotes the ability to depolarize and also promoted the escape of heavy gases from the sub-layers will. In the case of tubular, a brownstone mixture or the like in the cavity Carbon electrodes of this type are already known for ventilation and gas escape thereby creating a way upwards or outwards, that one of the cavity at the head of the coal passages lets flow into the open; the arrangement of longitudinal deductions in the carbon body is also otherwise known per se, but so far this arrangement has not been installed with repackaging knew how to adapt the carbon electrode so that the porous, moistened depolarization mass was immediately exposed to a large extent. The porosity of the carbon electrode, which is particularly due to the layering surface of the moist Depolarization mixture wears off quickly, is of little use for the purpose of ventilation. To achieve the desired effect, the invention is characterized in that in the case of repackaging with depolarization material, along two or more on the outside the coal running grooves from bottom to top continuous ventilation channels in connection are left free with lower transverse channels. These channels can either be uniform carbon body or with longitudinal division of the same and union of the pieces into one Be formed whole.
'In the accompanying drawing, in "Figs. 1 and 2 (side view and cross-section AB) an embodiment of the 'carbon electrode, as is useful for installation according to the invention, is illustrated. Figs. 3 and 4 show modified cross-sectional shapes with a two-part carbon body.'
Längslaufende Rillen r r sind zweckmäßig an gegenüberliegenden SeitenAccording to FIGS. 1 and 2, the carbon a, which has to serve as an electrode or discharge core of a dry element, has a generally cylindrical shape and is tightly surrounded by the depolarization mass for the purpose of use. Longitudinal grooves rr are useful on opposite sides
