Durch Abheben des Handapparates hat der Teilnehmer die Möglichkeit, die Freisprecheinrichtung auszuschalten. Dies erfolgt durch Umlegen der I lakenumsehaliekontakte HLJ2 und HU3. Ist dagegen der Handapparat aufgelegt, so ist eine Auslösung der Verbindung gleichfalls mit einer einzigen Maßnahme möglich, indem die Trenntaste TT betätigt und dadurch die Rückstellwicklung Il des Relais / eingeschaltet wird. Bei der Einleitung einer Direkirufverbindung oder eine Datenverbindung zu einem zentralen Rechner wird dagegen die Verbindung auf das .Sonderdienstnetzwerk SDN umgeschaltet und hierüber der gewünschte Teilnehmer über die ihm zugehörige Vorzugsleitung VZL oder aber der zentrale Rechner DVA angesteuert. Auch Fernsehtelefons ei bindungen können auf diese Weise hergestellt weiden, ohne daß ein Eingriff in bestehende Systeme notwendig ist. Einfache Datendienste mit Vocoderrückmeldiing lassen sich auf diese Weise durchführen, ohne daß der Teilnehmer gezwungen ist, seinen Handapparat abzunehmen.
