Abstract

The hen-house is assembled of several storeys, each equipped for the accommodation of a group of hens. Two nests for egg laying are positioned opposite each other at the lateral walls. The eggs are removed on a conveyor belt. The perches are attached to the rear panel as well as a drinking bottle and two feeding bowls. A conveyor belt removes the excrements dropped through the bottom grid.

Volierensysteme herkömmlicher Bauart werden in 2 Varianten seit Jahren und Jahrzehnten angeboten. In allen Varianten wurden bislang die Nester entweder einzelnstehend (siehe Anlage 1) oder aber durchgehend in einer Etage der Voliere angeboten (siehe Anlage 2). Hierbei wurden die Nest in verschiedenen Materialien, Größen und Formen und Ausstattungen angeboten. Allen gemein war aber, dass sie durchgehend in einer Reihe waren und damit schwer zugänglich. Dies führt zu Verschmutzung verbunden mit Keimbelastungen. Reparaturen und Wartung waren ebenfalls schwierig. Außerdem waren die Grundversorgung (Futter, Wasser, Sitzstangen) nicht in einer Ebene mit den Nester, oder nur teilweise. Dies führt u. U. dazu, dass Tiere sich schlecht entwickeln und kränkeln. Da sich in den übrigen Etagen keine Nester befinden und somit keine Eierbänder ergeben sich eine mehr oder weniger große Anzahl von Eier, die in das Volierensystem verlegt wurden.
