Darüber wird als Oberfläche eine weitere – insbesondere mit Farbbildmustern bedruckte – wasserdurchlässige Zelluloseschicht mit einer ca. 3 cm breiten Randprägung aufliegend befestigt. Diese aufliegende Zelluloseschicht ist wasserdurchlässig und bindet im Zwischenraum zur Polypropylenschicht dauerhaft Wasser (bei horizontaler Lage ca. 1 Liter pro m², entspricht etwa einem Glas Wein pro Tischset von einer Größe von 33 cm x 41,5 cm). Die seitliche Prägung erschwert ein seitliches Abfließen der Flüssigkeit nach außen, während der von der Prägung umrandete innere Flächenbereich aufquillt. Das Tischset kann problemlos an den Ecken hochgehoben und mit der gebundenen Flüssigkeit tropffrei entsorgt werden.
