Abstract

The LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) (100) may be looked at (A,B) from either side. It has a central transparent liquid crystal module (10) with a transparent plate (12,14) on either side. The two transparent plates are illuminated from one edge by a single lamp (16) with a reflector system (18), each plate has a set of sawtooth notches (122,142) in the outer surface which reflect light inward onto the LCD. Most of the outer surface is flat, enabling the LCD to be viewed.

Claims (20)

1. Umwendbare Flüssigkristall-Anzeige (LCD-Anzeige), aufweisend:
ein lichtdurchlässiges Flüssigkristall-Modul (10);
ein Paar von Lichtleiter-Platten (12, 14), jeweils angeordnet an zwei Seiten des lichtdurchlässigen Flüssigkristall-Moduls (10), und
zumindest eine Lichtquelle (16, 161, 162) zum Zuführen von Licht zu dem Paar von Lichtleiter-Platten (12, 14)
1. Reversible liquid crystal display (LCD display), comprising:
a translucent liquid crystal module ( 10 );
