Abstract

A waterproof fastener for securing the side panels and/or door hinges for a shower cabinet has the countersunk threaded fasteners fitted from inside the cabinet and with an elastic padding between the head of the fasteners and the glass panels. The elastic padding is clipped over the head of each fastener to form a flush fitting when secured. An access hole is left in the centre of the head, for applying a screwdriver, and is sealed with a separate elastic plug. An alternate design has the elastic padding moulded to the head of each fastener.

7. Fitting according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the fitting part ( 4 ) or an associated abutment element has an internal thread for receiving or holding the connecting element.

Shower partition ( 3 ) with at least one fitting ( 1 ) and an associated, fixed or movable pane ( 2 ), characterized in that the fitting ( 1 ) is designed according to one of the preceding claims and the connecting device ( 5 ) firmly connects the pane ( 2 ) and the fitting part ( 4 ) to one another.

9. Shower partition according to claim 8, characterized in that the connecting device ( 5 ), in particular its cover ( 8 ), ends flush or flush with the edge of a flat side of the pane ( 2 ), in particular in a recess ( 16 ) of the pane ( 2 ), preferably designed as a countersunk hole.

10. Shower partition according to claim 8 or 9, characterized in that the fitting part ( 4 ) is arranged on the outside of the pane ( 2 ).
