Abstract

Description

The invention relates to an opener for a clip closure, in particular that of a bottle.

In particular, beer bottles with swing tops have been experiencing a renaissance for some time. Compared to closures with crown caps, these bottles have the advantage that they can be closed again after opening.

However, there are groups of people, such as the elderly and children, who find it difficult to open a clip lock. The invention is intended to remedy this.

This technical problem is solved by an opener for a clip lock, in which, according to claim 1, it is based on the fact that two spaced-apart lever arms with contact surfaces are provided in one plane, a handle connecting the lever arms and a lug protruding below the handle at the end training support.

The handling of this opener is very simple. The opener is placed on the head of the clip lock with a contact surface of the support on the underside during handling.

The nose of the support, which then also points downwards, prevents the support from slipping off and in particular forms a counter bearing for the attack of the spaced lever arms when they are actuated. Since the support is arranged between the lever arms, tilting the opener causes the two lever arms to press with their contact surfaces in the opening direction against the eyelets enclosing the bracket, thereby opening the bottle.

It is helpful if a contact surface of the support is set at an angle α of more than 90° in relation to the contact surfaces of the lever arms. When the support is placed on the head of the clip lock, the lever arms are immediately positioned in front of the eyelets.

The production of the opener according to the invention is simple and inexpensive. Thus, the opener can preferably consist of a blank made of a flat material with a support bent forward and an angled nose.

The flat material expediently consists of sheet metal.

Alternatively, the opener can be formed by a molded part.

The result of this is that when the contact surface 9 is placed on the head 15 of a swing-top cap of a bottle 16, the contact surfaces 10, 11 of the levers 3, 4 are positioned directly in front of the eyelets 17 of the swing-top cap, cf. 4 .

The nose 8 of the support 7 acting on the side of the head 15 forms a counter bearing for the actuation of the opener 2 . Thus, when the handle 5 is actuated in the direction of the arrow 18 by the lever arms 3, 4, the eyelets 17 are forced in the opposite direction, with the clip closure of the bottle 16 being opened.
