The invention relates to a shell upholstery structure in conjunction with a fitting for a piece of seating/reclining furniture. The invention also relates to corresponding seating/reclining furniture.

Relax functions have been proposed in different versions for different seating/lounging furniture. A support unit for supporting the legs of a person in the sitting/reclining furniture can be adjusted from a starting position to an extended position, manually or by motor.

In the course of improving the comfort of seating/reclining furniture in a larger area of use, there is therefore a need for improvements for reduced installation conditions.

The invention specified in claim 1 is based on the object of creating a shell upholstery structure in conjunction with a fitting.

This task is solved with the features listed in claim 1.

A shell upholstery structure according to the invention in conjunction with a fitting of a seat/reclining piece of furniture, comprises a base frame (1) and a support unit (2) which can be adjusted from a starting position into an extended position and back.
