Description

State of the art

The invention relates to a ferrous foil, sometimes referred to as a magnetically adhesive foil. These can be used, for example, as a pin board or as a base for magnets, as they are magnetic. Ferro sheets are regularly used to neatly arrange notes on a wall with magnets. Usually, ferrous foils have a thickness of 0.5 mm.

These are to be distinguished from magnetic foils, which only adhere to ferrous and therefore magnetic substrates and are printed, among other things, and used, for example, for temporary lettering on vehicles and for signage on shelving systems.

In particular, the invention relates to a ferrous foil comprising two opposite surfaces, of which a first surface is designed as an inner surface and one opposite the inner surface is designed as an outer surface, and an inner fleece, in particular a paper fleece comprising flocking, is applied to the inner surface. With the inner surface, the magnetic foil can be attached to a surface, e.g. glued to a wall.

A plastic film in different colors is usually applied to the outer surface, in particular in the form of a PVC film.

Disadvantages of the prior art

The outer surface thus provides the surface for attaching magnets, e.g. B. for attaching notes.

The attachment is always limited to the clearly visible area of the ferrous foil, which is also clearly recognizable as such.

Proceeding from the state of the art mentioned at the outset and the associated disadvantages, the invention is based on the object of at least partially avoiding the disadvantages described above and in particular of providing a particularly inconspicuous ferrous foil, preferably not recognizable as such at all.

This problem is already solved by the features of the independent claims; advantageous but not mandatory features are given in the dependent claims.

A first solution provides for an outer fleece to be provided on the outside, in particular a paper fleece comprising flocking.

It is now possible to glue the inside of the ferrous foil to the wall, i.e. to stick it to the wall, in particular using conventional wallpaper of any type and standard wallpaper adhesive, and then to also apply wallpaper to the outside, preferably also using wallpaper adhesive.

It is thus possible for the first time with surprisingly simple means to arrange the magnetic film as a kind of intermediate layer between the rear wall and the front wallpaper, in order to achieve the desired effect of a magnetic wallpaper.

The applied wallpaper on the outside, i.e. the outside wallpaper, has magnetic properties at the point with the ferrous foil behind it, so that notes or other things can be attached to the outside of the wallpaper with a magnet, especially an office magnet. At the same time, the wall looks like a completely normal wall, so the magnetic foil behind it is otherwise not recognizable.

It is within the scope of the invention to provide the entire back of the wallpaper with the magnetic film or just certain sections. If only certain sections are to be provided with the magnetic foil, it is advisable that the space without magnetic foil is filled with a filling material of the same material thickness as the magnetic foil, in order not to cause unevenness in the applied wallpaper, i.e. to ensure a uniform smooth image of the front wallpaper .

In addition, the invention proposes the use of the ferrous foil as an intermediate layer in a wall, detached from the magnetic foil itself, with the inside of the ferrous foil being glued to the wall and a preferably commercially available wallpaper being applied to an outside of the ferrous foil.
