Transport containers for bottles, glasses or the like are known, for example, in the form of bottle crates (cf. DE 1 259 770 A ). They are used to safely hold bottles in order to enable non-destructive transport. At the same time, the transport containers should have a sufficiently high level of stability to enable them to be stacked even when the bottles are full.

In order to ensure the non-destructive transport of the bottles or glasses in the containers both when filled and when empty, compartments are provided on the bottom of the container. The compartments are usually webs that simulate the cross-section of the bottles or glasses and enable them to be adjusted. As an alternative to the webs, quills with the same effect can be provided. The quills are columns protruding vertically from the ground, which only partially reproduce the cross-section of the bottles or glasses to be placed in the container.

In the beverage industry, and there in particular in the beer industry, there is a great variety of bottles, both in terms of their size and shape. In Germany, beer bottles usually have a filling volume of 0.33 I and 0.5 I. The shape can vary greatly, regardless of the volume. The transport containers are designed in such a way that their height is essentially matched to the height of the respective bottle type. The transport container must ensure that the bottle on the one hand does not protrude upwards over the edge of the box. On the other hand, the bottle should not stand too deep in the box, as that is not a very appealing sight for the consumer. In addition, when the empty bottles are usually completely automatically removed, handling is more difficult when the bottles are too deep in the container. This is caused by the fact that the devices used for this, so-called unpackers, move their removal tulips over the bottle head in order to lift the bottle out of the container. If the bottles are now very deep in the container, this procedure is almost impossible. As a result, transport containers for short bottles have a low height. However, this may have disadvantages when conveying the crates in the filling and cleaning systems, since the systems should usually be able to convey different crate formats. This may not be guaranteed with flat boxes.

In order to enable crates for short bottles to be conveyed on a conventional conveyor system and at the same time to fully meet the above requirements, from the DE 20 2020111 629 U1 a transport container is known in which the base on which the bottles stand is arranged in an elevated position relative to the underside of the crate, so that a kind of recess is formed. The box fulfills the above-mentioned requirements and also has an overall height that is suitable for transport on conventional systems. However, it has been found that the transport on the systems is sometimes problematic due to the recess on the bottom, because the conveyor systems usually work with conveyor chains that are narrower than the box is wide in the conveying position. Due to the recess on the underside of the box, the chains cannot attack the box over a large area, which is disadvantageous for trouble-free transport. In addition, the stability of the box is insufficient due to the recess. According to the legal requirements, bottle crates must withstand a fall from a height of 3 m without damage when completely filled. In the case of the known bottle crate, however, such a fall can cause the floor to deflect, which can lead to the floor breaking.

Against this background, the invention is based on the object of creating a transport container for bottles, glasses or the like, which is suitable for bottles or glasses of small height, but at the same time can be transported without problems on conventional conveyor systems and has sufficient stability. According to the invention, this object is achieved by the features of claim 1.

With the invention, a transport container for bottles, glasses or the like is created which meets the requirements in terms of both appearance and stability as well as in terms of transportability. By providing the ribs is created a larger area, which improves the possibilities of transportation. At the same time, the stability of the container is comparable to that of conventional containers, so that in the event of a fall, the floor does not deflect.

In a further development of the invention, at least two ribs are provided which extend diagonally along the base. By increasing the number of ribs, the properties for reliable conveyance and stability can be further improved.

Advantageously, the ribs cross in the middle of the floor. This creates an x-shaped arrangement of the ribs, so that the conveying devices can attack the underside of the container over a very large area.

In another development of the invention, two ribs each run parallel to one another. This also results in improved conveyability and stability.

In an embodiment of the invention, webs are formed on the side of the base facing the mounting edge. The webs are preferably provided in sections with a slope. This configuration enables water to be drained from the bottom of the container downwards, which is particularly important after cleaning in order to enable rapid drying. The bevels are arranged in such a way that they point away from the center of the parking space for a bottle. This prevents any water still adhering to the compartment from dripping onto a bottle positioned immediately below when the boxes are stacked.

In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the webs are each provided with a radius at one end. The radius at the webs also leads to an improved drainage of water, so that the drainage of water is also improved by this feature.
