Description

The invention relates to a reusable mouthguard or respirator (also simply called a mask) for covering the mouth and nose.

Typically, mouth guards are designed as disposable products or as disposable masks, e.g. B. in the hospital to meet special hygiene standards.

The demand for mouthguard devices may increase due to a pandemic such as B. the corona virus (SARS-CoV-2), soar. On the one hand, this can cause a supply bottleneck, and on the other hand, an additional pile of rubbish from non-reusable materials.

It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a mouth protection device for covering the mouth and nose, which can be produced inexpensively and in a material-saving manner and preferably comprises no or only a small proportion of consumables in the form of disposable.

Mouth protection devices are also known from the prior art, such as the breathing mask from Dräger with the model name “X-plore® 2100” (cf. https://www.draeger.com/de_de/Applications/Products/Respiratory- Protection / Respiratory Masks / Half Masks / X-plore-2100), which can be recycled or reused. It is therefore a further, cumulative object of the present invention to provide a reusable mouthguard or respirator that enables quick and inexpensive care for broad sections of the population.
