Die Neuerung der bisher bekannten Puderquaste bezieht sich auf eine neue Textilart der Kategorie „Funktionsstoffe“. Auch Form und Größe des Pudertuchs/Smartpuff stimmen mit den Puderquasten bekannter Bauart nicht mehr überein, weshalb auch die bisher bekannte Namensbezeichnung „Puderquaste“ nicht mehr anwendbar ist.
