Abstract

Description

It is known that bifocal glasses help short-sighted and far-sighted people to see clearly both with glasses and in the reading area.

Bifocal glasses made of glass or transparent plastic are custom-made, according to the prescription of the ametropia, so to speak “tailor-made” by opticians. They are relatively expensive.

In contrast, the "monofocal ready-made glasses" (reading glasses) are very inexpensive and can be bought "off the shelf", so to speak.

Nevertheless, bifocal glasses are not also offered as "ready-made bifocal glasses", although they would be an inexpensive alternative for many short-sighted and far-sighted people. "Bifocal ready-made glasses" would also be an attractive alternative to the expensive varifocal glasses. (Ready-made glasses are not suitable for people with serious ophthalmic problems such as severe astigmatism.)

Another embodiment of the “bifocal ready-made glasses” not mentioned in protection claim 2 is that the frames are also interchangeable and can be designed simply or fashionably.

In addition, the "glasses" can also be offered tinted, so that e.g. Sunglasses for distance vision are combined with clear reading glasses.

As far as warehousing is concerned, eight "ready-made glasses" in the plus diopter range (five for distant vision, three for near vision) largely cover the need for far-sighted people. The same applies to myopia in the minus diopter range.

Three frames with different widths are sufficient to take into account the different eye relief of the customers. The frames can also be designed to be adjustable in width.

Bifocal glasses with glasses made of transparent plastic, characterized in that the glasses is a "bifocal ready-made glasses" and from the parts (see 1 ): Frame, made of plastic (1), two finished glasses for distant vision, made of transparent plastic (2), two finished glasses for close vision, made of transparent plastic (3), as well as connecting elements (6, 7, 10, 13).
