Abstract

It is proposed to provide a container for filling with a denaturant, wherein the container is at least partially introduced into an edible casing. This makes the container attractive to animals despite the denaturant. A bait can be produced according to the invention for weaning of animals by means of the container. It is advantageous to design the edible sheath as a tough and difficult to break up mass that protects the container from too rapid destruction.

Bait units can each be made with a single container, with the bait units being portioned separately. So they can be taken by hand, for example individually, taken out of a bag and designed or fired by a device.
