Toilet seats have been known and used for many decades. The purpose of such a toilet seat is usually to make the toilet a pleasant way for a person and in particular to avoid contact between the skin of the person and often perceived as cold toilet bowl made of ceramic or metal. Known toilet seats are usually annular, round or oval designed and often consist of plastic or a wood material, such as MDF or the like. Conventional toilet seats often have four buffers, which are round, oval or rectangular shaped rounded. These are usually molded by an injection molding process. However, the effective area of these conventional buffers is small and thus the anti-slip effect is often insufficient. By contrast, the production costs for the injection molding tools are high, which also increases the component costs of these buffers. If a ceramic toilet key is used, the surface on which the buffers are placed in use is often uneven, which may result in the bumpers on the ceramic surface not being properly seated, so that the anti-slip effect is even more limited and insufficient anti-slip is achieved.

The object of the invention is therefore to provide a device which avoids the aforementioned disadvantages and provides a toilet seat with a sufficient slip protection available and is still inexpensive to manufacture. This object is solved by the characterizing features of claim 1, which has the following special significance.

The buffer is formed as an elongated flexible element and is designed approximately U-shaped and arranged on the underside of the toilet seat. The buffer advantageously comprises more than 180 ° of the circumference of the toilet seat. The buffer has a significantly larger contact surface on the toilet bowl, whereby a much better adhesion between the toilet seat and the toilet bowl and thus a significantly increased slip resistance is achieved. Due to the larger contact surface, a secure support and damping of the toilet seat on the toilet bowl is possible.

Preferably, the toilet seat has a groove into which the buffer is at least partially introduced. Then it is particularly easy to safely place the buffer on the toilet seat in the correct position. The buffer in turn may have a web or a lip, with which it can be introduced into the groove. Then it is particularly easy to insert the buffer in the correct way in the groove and fasten there.

For introducing the buffer into the groove, for example, the buffer can be pressed under pressure into the groove of the toilet seat. However, the buffer may also be attached to the toilet seat by adhesive bonding. This adhesive bond can also be provided within the groove on the toilet seat. It is important that the buffer is securely attached to the toilet seat, as it is assumed that frequent use of the toilet seat and the toilet seat with the buffer should have the longest possible life, the buffer should also permanently ensure that the toilet seat safely and non-slip the toilet bowl is supported.

Preferably, the buffer is arranged symmetrically on the toilet seat. In this way it can be prevented that between the two sides of the toilet seat irregularities occur and the toilet seat tilts in use.

The buffer is preferably made of a soft plastic or a rubber material. Other materials with similar properties come into question here.

The toilet seat may consist of its thermosetting material. However, it is also possible to use solid wood or other wood materials, such as MDF or the like for the toilet seat.

It goes without saying that the buffer thus described can be used not only in toilet seat rings but also in toilet lids and also this version is fully encompassed by the present invention. The word "toilet seat" is used here as a synonym for the actual seat ring and the toilet lid.
