Description

The invention relates to a display adapter unit for fastening an electronic display to a double-hook goods carrier for goods packaging with a euro hole.

In the packaging of goods that are to be presented hanging, in particular blister packs, a cut-out, the so-called euro hole, is introduced, which has standardized dimensions. This includes a lower slot opening, which is supplemented in the middle by a semicircular indentation at the upper edge. This allows both a single hook and a double hook that includes a bracket with two parallel longitudinal sections. For price labeling and / or product information for double hooks, a pendulum-hung carrier flag is often hung on the crossbar of the product carrier, which is so thin that the punched-out area on the packaging can be pushed or pulled over when the carrier flag is folded away and lies against the product carrier or is located between the longitudinal legs of the product carrier. This means that the cross bar on the goods carrier plus the suspension of the carrier flag must not be larger in cross-section than the euro perforation, in particular not higher than the elongated, lower part of the euro perforation. With electronic price labeling systems, it was previously only possible to attach them to the product shelf on additional hooks or on shelf edges. The latest developments in electronic displays have led to foil displays with a layer thickness of less than 1 mm. This means that the glued-on displays are basically suitable for folding away with the carrier flag so that packaging with euro perforations can be pushed or pulled over it.

The DE 20 2018 100 312 U1 the applicant describes a battery unit for such an electronic display. The battery unit is placed in the space between the longitudinal legs of the double hook and is so compact that the height is no greater than the cross-sectional height of the double hook product carrier, in any case not greater than the elongated, lower part of the Euro perforation.

However, the connection of the electronic display to the battery unit via the crosspiece on the front of the double bracket is problematic, because even thin ribbon cables increase the cross-sectional height, so that packaging with Euro perforations can no longer be easily moved over it. In addition, the cable is unprotected and can easily be damaged by sharp-edged blister packs.

The object of the present invention is to enable a cable connection from the space inside the double hook goods carrier over its crosspiece to the outside, the punching on the packaging should not be increased beyond the standard size of the Euro perforation and at the same time retrofitting existing double hooks should be possible so that a reduction in the wire cross-section of the goods carrier is out of the question.

This object is achieved according to the present invention by a display adapter unit with the features of claim 1.

The essential idea of the invention is not to lead the ribbon cable required for contacting the film display in a flat form over the crossbar of the goods carrier, but to convert it into a cross-section such that the one intended for hanging on the single hook in the Euro perforation central semicircular bulge at the top can be used.

Essential to the invention is the bridge element, which not only keeps the two sections of the adapter unit at the correct distance from one another, but also an internal cable duct has, in which a cable is guided from the battery unit or an electronic control unit connected to it to the carrier lug with the electronic display.

The cable can either be the flat film cable of the display itself, which is preferably rolled or folded in the area of the cable duct, or it is implemented on the adapter element by means of a jumper to convert the flat film cable to a cable with wires in several layers one above the other, that fits into the cable duct.

The cross-section of the bridge element together with the cable inside is no larger than the central booking of the euro hole. This means that the packaging can easily be pushed first onto the adapter element arranged foremost and then over the bridge element onto the product carrier located behind it.

The adapter unit comprises at least one component which comprises a bridge element resting on the goods carrier from above. As a rule, an upper part is provided, which is locked with its base element into the goods carrier from above.

A two-part design with an additional lower part is advantageous. In this way, on the one hand, the base element can be supplemented from below, so that a receiving compartment for receiving an electronic control unit is formed and the control unit is well protected. On the other hand, a second bridge element can be provided which extends from below over the crosspiece of the goods carrier. This second bridge element is very narrow and has no cable duct. It uses the low overall height that is normally claimed by the carrier flag suspended from the crosspiece of the product carrier. This overall height is now available according to the invention because the carrier flag is suspended from the adapter element as a substitute and because the upper bridge element only stresses the cross section of the central upper bulge in the euro hole.
