Dabei ist eine möglichst dichte Verbindung besonders von Vorteil, da so eine Verschmutzung der Ausnehmung vermieden wird. Die zweite Ausnehmung ist dafür vorgesehen, einen Wassernapf zu halten. Dieser kann der Futterstation entnommen werden und so einfach mit Wasser befüllt werden. Die oben genannte Aufgabe wird von der vorliegenden Erfindung dadurch gelöst, dass die Unterseite mindestens einen ersten Abschnitt aufweist, dessen Abstand zur Oberseite kleiner ist als der sonstige Abstand zwischen der Oberseite und der Unterseite. Dieser erste Abschnitt kann vorteilhaft so ausgebildet sein, dass er in Richtung der Oberseite gewölbt ist. Dadurch ist gewährleistet, dass die Futterstation einfacher von dem Untergrund, auf dem die Futterstation platziert wird, aufgenommen werden kann und dass die Futterstation einfacher auf dem Untergrund platziert werden kann.
