Problems of the current handpans:

• 2) Playing while sitting (mostly cross-legged) is not always ergonomically comfortable and brings with it a rather esoteric image, which is not desired by every musician.
• 3) The lower spherical half of the Handpan is not used as a playing surface, but remains passive and serves only as a support and resonance amplifier by the presence of a central outlet opening.
