Description

The invention relates to a system consisting of at least a first junction box and a second junction box, which are electrically contacted via a multi-core cable with end connectors.

Such systems are needed to supply the trailer attached to traction vehicles with electrical energy and / or electrical control signals. For example, a food trailer is powered by such a system with the necessary energy for an integrated refrigeration system.

State of the art

The DE 202 20 194 U1 shows a junction box for a caravan. The junction box has multiple sockets for various connectors to be connected.

If multiple sockets look similar, it can easily lead to miscarriages. Due to the variety of different connectors and cables connected to it can easily come to a "cable clutter". In addition, the individual cables can easily be damaged, which jeopardizes the functionality of the entire system.

The object of the invention is to form a system of junction boxes, which is easy to use and at the same time robust.

The object is achieved in that the junction boxes each have an inlet for at least two incoming conductors, that the junction boxes each contain at least one cable clamp to which the incoming conductors are connected, that the junction boxes each have a socket with at least two contact elements, wherein the contact elements in each case a contact conductor is connected and that the contact conductors are electrically contacted with the incoming conductors via the cable clamp.

The junction boxes are usually cubic or cuboid and sealed against media such as dust and water. In the respective junction box an inlet for incoming electrical conductors is introduced. This inlet is usually sealed separately. The individual conductors are of course insulated and can also be combined in a multi-core cable. In this case, then the multi-core cable would be passed through the above-mentioned inlet into the interior of the junction box.

In the respective junction box a cable clamp is arranged. The cable clamp is ideally screwed or glued to the junction box.

In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the first junction box to a traction vehicle, in particular to a truck, grown. For this purpose, the junction box has suitable fixing means.
