Navigation and other devices (smartphones, etc.) are usually attached to the windshield via suction cup holders and are supplied with power via a charging cable from a socket (cigarette lighter). In addition, there is a freely routed or integrated into the charging cable antenna cable or other cables for the transmission of data or music. Such brackets have, among others, the following disadvantages: they can come loose, the operating range is unfavorable and they limit the view.

Other brackets are clamped to the ventilation grille or glued or bolted to the dashboard. Such brackets have the disadvantage that they either limit the function of the ventilation or lead to visible changes (drilled holes, impairment of the visible surface by adhesive, etc.).

These disadvantages are circumvented with those listed in the protection claim features.

The function of the hidden active mount is explained by the attached sketch. In the holder made of plastic, a magnet is integrated. Depending on the vehicle type, a magnet is also attached behind the dashboard or one of its parts. The magnets are dimensioned sufficiently strong to hold the bracket, whose shape follows the dashboard contour, in a precisely defined position.

In the plastic holder several contact springs are integrated, which are connected via a cable and the appropriate connector with the navigation device / smartphone, etc. The contact springs meet contact surfaces in the dashboard, which in turn are connected to the power cable of the device and the device belonging to the antenna or other transmission devices (eg music transmission via the radio) via cables and plugs.

The contact surfaces are arranged so that they possible at a hidden point, so z. B. in a joint between parts of the dashboard, are accessible. The plastic holder and the contact springs are designed according to this accessibility.
