Description

  • The invention relates to an arm for a drive head of a syringe pump and a drive head.
  • Syringe pumps are well known. They are used in particular in the medical field to supply, for example, infusion solutions over a long period of time with defined flow rates to a patient. They have a receptacle for a syringe, from which a syringe can be received, and have a usually translatorally adjustable drive head with which a syringe plunger of the recorded syringe can be pressed into a syringe barrel of the syringe in order in this way located in the syringe barrel To promote fluid.
  • To hold the syringe plunger to the drive head, the drive head typically includes one arm or two arms.   • The object of the present invention is to provide an improved arm for a drive head of a syringe pump and a drive head for a syringe pump with at least one arm.
  • The object is achieved by an arm and a drive head according to the independent claims.
  • The arm for a drive head of a syringe pump according to the invention comprises at least a first element of a first material and a second element of a second material, wherein the first material is different from the second material.
  • By using different materials, various beneficial effects can be achieved. On the one hand it is possible, for example, to produce the arm inexpensively, but at the same time to ensure sufficient mechanical strength of the arm. Furthermore, it is possible by the use of different materials in addition to or alternatively to the advantages mentioned to produce the arm aesthetically pleasing. Alternatively or additionally, by a suitable choice of material to the low weight of the arm can be achieved. Finally, the choice of different materials also allows at least certain portions of the arm to prevent electrical discharges.

Claims (12)
