Abstract
einer Anordnung zum Ausmessen von einem oder mehreren reflektierenden Punkten, die typischerweise als Faser-Bragg-Gitter ausgeführt sind, in seiner Intensität moduliert wird und die absolute Distanz zum reflektierenden Punkt durch Vergleich des Sendesignals und des Empfangssignals erfolgt.
Description
- Der beschriebene Sensor dient der Überwachung von Verformungen und mechanischen Belastungen von technischen Einrichtungen (z. B. Brücken) und natürlichen Formationen (z. B. Bodenflächen, Hänge, Küstenformationen). Es sind verschiedene Verfahren bekannt, die Verformungen und Belastungen integral (z. B. integrale Längenmessung bzw. Messung der absoluten Distanz zu einem Punkt), punktförmig (z. B. durch Dehnungsmess-Streifen oder Faser-Bragg-Gitter) oder verteilt (z. B. verteilte Strainmessung mittels Brillouin-Streuung) messen. In der Praxis ist es wünschenswert, verschiedene Verfahren gleichzeitig zu benutzen, um unterschiedliche Messergebnisse vergleichen bzw. miteinander kombinieren zu können. Diese Verfahren werden in der Regel voneinander getrennt aufgebaut. Das führt zu einem hohen Aufwand und zu hohen Kosten.
- Es sind auch Vorschläge für eine Kombination von verschiedenen Verfahren bekannt. So ist in der Patentschrift
DE 10 2009 035 372.0 die Kombination eines Lichtwellenleiters mit Faser-Bragg-Gittern und einer faseroptischen integralen Längenmessung mit einer Lichtwellenleiter-Schlaufe beschrieben. Nachteilig an dieser Lösung ist, dass der Lichtwellenleiter in einer Schleife verlegt werden muss und dass für eine örtliche Bestimmung einer Verformung mehrere Lichtwellenleiter in Schleifenform verlegt werden müssen. - Eine gleichzeitige Nutzung von Faser-Bragg-Gittern für Dehnungs- und integraler Längenmessung ist in [1] beschrieben. Bei dieser Lösung werden Laser mit verschiedenen Wellenlängen eingesetzt, um die absoluten Distanzen zu je einem Faser-Bragg-Gitter zu ermitteln.
- Mit der im Schutzanspruch 1 angegebenen Erfindung ist es möglich, mit einem Messgerät, welches zur Auswertung der Faser-Bragg-Gitter ohnehin erforderlich ist, zusätzlich die absolute Distanz zu allen im Lichtwellenleiter vorhandenen Faser-Bragg-Gitter zu ermitteln. Diese Aufgabe wird mit den im Schutzanspruch 1 aufgeführten Merkmalen gelöst.
- Die Lösung besteht darin, dass der optische Sender in seiner Intensität moduliert wird und die Laufzeit vom Sender zum Empfänger ermittelt wird.
- Die Anordnung besteht aus einem moduliertem optischen Sender (
1 ), einem optischen Empfänger (2 ), einer optischen Koppeleinrichtung (3 ), die (1 ) und (2 ) über optische Verbindungen (4 ) mit einem Lichtwellenleiter (5 ) verbindet, der eine beliebige Anzahl von reflektierenden Punkten (6 ) enthält und in geeigneter Weise am Ende (7 ) abgeschlossen ist. Die reflektierenden Punkte (6 ) sind typischerweise Faser-Bragg-Gitter. - Wird der Sender (
1 ) moduliert, kann die Länge des Lichtwellenleiters (5 ) bis zur Position jedes einzelnen Punktes (6 ) aus der Laufzeit des Lichtes zwischen Sender und Empfänger durch Messen der Laufzeit oder der Phasendifferenz zwischen Sender und Empfänger gemessen werden. Die Modulationsfrequenzen liegen typischerweise zwischen einigen Kiloherz und wenigen Gigaherz. - Vorteile dieser Erfindung sind, dass
- • der Lichtwellenleiter zur Längenmessung nicht als Schlaufe verlegt sein muss,
- • das Lichtwellenleiterende (
7 ) nicht zwingend mit einer reflektierenden Einrichtung versehen werden muss - • bei einem Lichtwellenleiter mit mehreren reflektieren Punkten, wie es heute meist der Fall ist, eine Vielzahl von absoluten Distanzen quasi gleichzeitig gemessen werden können.

- Faseroptischer Dehnungs- und Stress-Sensor, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der optische Sender (
1 ) in einer Anordnung zum Ausmessen von einem oder mehreren reflektierenden Punkten, die typischerweise als Faser-Bragg-Gitter ausgeführt sind, in seiner Intensität moduliert wird und die absolute Distanz zum reflektierenden Punkt durch Vergleich des Sendesignals und des Empfangssignals erfolgt.
