Abstract
Description
In the dental In practice, implantology is a common procedure today. By implants may be missing Teeth in Jaws are replaced and after the supply of firmly in the jaw anchored implant with a crown is the former gap optically and functionally fully closed. To get on with the height of the gum To be able to attach a crown to the ending implant is a post or Abutment necessary. This component comes with a screw in the thread anchored the implant. The screwdriver to be used for this is necessarily very small (about 20 mm long and 8 mm in diameter) and has to be of the attending dentist with extreme instinct in the narrow Oral cavity of the patient lying down. Here it is Problem: Even with longtime Experience and highest precision Slipping of the hand from the screwdriver can not be excluded 100% become. If now the patient by instantaneous swallowing reflexes or convulsive panic attacks the key in the food or even windpipe gets, there is danger to life. Out of this consideration we have an implant screwdriver (also SCS screwdriver) with safety fixation developed on the finger or wrist of the practitioner who is a final rings of the tool (implant screwdriver) in the body of the Safely prevented patients. This fixation should also be good be visible and graceful and may when working with the screwdriver do not hinder. The materials used are chemically resistant and can be sterilized after treatment. A finger ring in universal Size, possibly also open and springy is better suited in our opinion as a wrist fixation, although this is not completely ruled out. So should both the treating dentist and the patient sure feeling have and dangerous Situations are avoided.
