Abstract

A spindle for a length adjustable seat mounting in a vehicle, e.g. a servo driven adjustment, has a metal tube (11) with outer thread and with one end of the tube shaped and flattened into a mounting flange to secure to one of the seat support slides. The other end if the spindle is fitted with a separate flanged mounting comprising a flat mounting flange (17) joined to the spindle support by a shaped intermediate section (15). The separate flange is secured to the spindle by welding or by any suitable means.
