Abstract

The signal generator has a number of digital signals produced in relation to the absolute position of the crankshaft. The segments with a smaller number of digital signals in relation to pure absolutely signal generators are coded. One signal is an incremental signal when two absolute signals are available. The coding is 12bit and has a resolution of 0.1 degrees. A microprocessor permits the dynamic absolute coding and the incremental positions and are calculated using incremental signals.
