Abstract

The reading glass comprises a magnifying glass (4) mounted in a holder ring (1) made from metal along with a protective ring (3) made from a non-metallic shockproof material which extends around the magnifying glass and covers both sides of the latter around its periphery. The protective ring comprises two axially connected half-sections (31, 32) made from semi-hard rubber and the holder ring is fixed between these two half-sections.
