Abstract
The flow control ring insert (1.0) for a pipeline has guide vanes (1.1-1.3) formed on its inner surface and extending inwardly. The vanes define spiral vortices in the flowing material and the flow facing guide faces of the vanes can be formed on a conical surface with the largest radius at the flow opposing end of the vane. The ring can be formed of a tubular section with its wall partially stamped inwardly.
