Refrigerated locker for electronic shopping of refrigerated goods

The invention relates to a stationary locker for electronically ordered goods with a cooling device.

Refrigerated lockers became known, for example, through the newspaper article by Nicole Wanner, "The electronic corner shop delivers to the parking lot", Stuttgarter Zeitung of August 21, 2001.

Goods that customers have ordered by phone or intranet are delivered to these well-known refrigerated lockers. This means that customers can collect their ordered goods from their locker without having to wait and even after the store has closed. However, the cold chain is interrupted if the customer has to load the goods into their vehicle and transport them home.

It is therefore the object of the invention to further develop a refrigerated locker of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that the cold chain for the refrigerated goods in the locker can be maintained for as long as possible.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the cooling device is formed by a mobile electric cooling box placed in the locker, which is connected to an electrical supply source provided in the locker.

The advantage achieved with the invention is that the refrigerated goods stored in the cool box are kept cool in the cool box even after they have been removed from the locker.

Particularly preferably, the cooling box or the cooling element can be connected to the on-board power supply of a motor vehicle, so that the refrigerated goods stored in the cooling box can be

If the cool box is provided by the customer, the chilled goods ordered will be delivered to the cool box previously placed in the locker by the customer, i.e. the chilled goods must be repacked into the cool box by the supplier. If, on the other hand, the cool box is provided by the supplier, the chilled goods can be delivered in the cool box, which will then be connected by the supplier to the locker's electrical supply source.

The single figure shows several lockers 1 arranged one above the other and next to one another in a 3x3 matrix, which are set up, for example, in a company parking lot. Each locker 1 has a socket 2 which is connected to an electrical supply source (not shown). In the exemplary embodiment shown, a mobile electrical cool box 3 with refrigerated goods 4 is set up in the middle locker 1 in the left-hand column of compartments. The electrical cooling element (e.g. Peltier element) of the cool box 3 is connected to the electrical supply source via the socket. The cool box 3 can be removed from the locker 1 and placed in the trunk of a motor vehicle 5, whereby the cool box 3 can be connected to the on-board power supply of the motor vehicle 5 via a socket 6.

The customer orders the desired refrigerated goods 4 electronically, e.g. via the Internet or an internal company intranet, or also by telephone. These are delivered by the seller or supplier to the electric cool box 3, which is provided in the customer's lockable locker 1 and is connected to the electrical supply source there. The customer takes the cool box 3 together with the refrigerated goods 4 contained therein out of the locker 1 and connects the cool box to the on-board power supply in his motor vehicle 5.

Stationary locker ( 1 ) for electronically ordered goods ( 4 ) with a cooling device, characterized in that the cooling device is formed by a mobile electric cooling box ( 3 ) placed in the locker ( 1 ) and connected to an electrical supply source provided in the locker ( 1 ). 2. Locker according to claim 1, characterized in that the cooling box ( 3 ) can be connected to the on-board electrical system of a motor vehicle ( 5 ). 3. Locker according to claim 1 and 2, characterized in that the cooling box ( 3 ) has a plug which can be connected to the electrical supply source of the locker ( 1 ) and to the on-board network of the motor vehicle ( 5 ).
