Claims (8)

1. Viertaktverbrennungsmotor mit einem sich in einem Zylinder linear bewegenden Kolben, Ein- und Auslassventilen sowie einer Zündeinrichtung im Brennraum oberhalb des Kol­ bens und einer Pleuelstange, die den Kolben mit einer Kurbelwelle verbindet, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
zwei zusammenwirkende Zylinder (1, 2) angeordnet sind, wobei jeder Zylinder (1, 2) aus zwei hintereinander angeordneten Zylinderräumen, einem Hauptzylinderraum (1.1,
2.1) und einem Nebenzylinderraum (1.2, 2.2), besteht,
in jedem Zylinder (1, 2) ein Kolben als Doppelkolben (3, 4) ausgebildet ist, jeweils be­ stehend aus Hauptkolben (3.1, 4. 1) und Nebenkolben (3.2, 4.2), die starr miteinander verbunden sind, wobei sich der jeweilige Hauptkolben (3.1, 4. 1) im Hauptzylinderraum (1.1, 2.1) bewegt und der jeweilige Nebenkolben (3.2, 4.2) im Nebenzylinderraum (1.2, 2.2),
jeweils der Brennraum oberhalb des oberen Totpunktes des Hauptkolbens (3.1, 4. 1) des einen Zylinders (1, 2) mit dem Raum unterhalb des unteren Totpunktes des Nebenkol­ bens (3.2, 4.2) des anderen Zylinders (1, 2) durch einen Überströmkanal (5, 6) verbun­ den ist,
